Onward HO! This is the same show I showed in yesterday's blog post, but as you can see, the wares have changed a bit. You move from huge geodes to chain of all shapes, sizes, prices, and metals, to finer gems, to turquoise chunks,.....
The chain is sold by the foot. And by the time you get all the "feet" you need, well, you better have a strong credit card!Above are a few of my special gems!! They were costly, but they'll make special treats for mom, and for my friends' birthdays. (Let's see who reads my blog and wonders if they are getting something "special"! haha)
Connie, you ask me every year to pick up some beads for you. Well, here they are. I tried to get you a big selection. They'll be put in the mail for you tomorrow!
And then there are trays like this one! This is the "really nice stuff"!! I don't buy a lot of this. But, I can tell you that there are certain artists whose work is made entirely with these findings. And I can see how they are sky high. One piece would be $45 or so. And you'd need two for earrings. And then, two more to link earrings. and then ear wires and spacers. That could be over $100 for a dang pair of earrings, and that's before the artist's mark up. Ummm... NO!
These are some of the completed pieces using the components above.
And then, this place is nothing but silver pieces. Every one of these bins is full of some charm of some sort with a different shape, design, whatev.
I LOVE colorful booths like this one. And I'm kind of amazed by all of this beadwork. Although, it is really not my style.
Well, feathers kind of are!! I love feathers. And arrows. I know they're trendy. But I like them all the time! Always have. I am a little bit hippie I think.
I took a pic of these to show JinJin I was thinking of her, cause all she ever requests is a cheesy CZ ring, the gaudier the better!
Decisions. Decisions!!
By now, the joint is about to close. I am seriously on overload. I've been up since about 3am, and it's crazy to think I was in Louisiana just a little while ago, and now I'm in Arizona, shopping at one of my favorite places on earth!
Found one of my favorite vendors, speaking of! If this is your style, I bought a few of these, and have them for sale at the studio. I bought two of the coral on the bottom and that turquoise one on top.
I love this Tibetan style!!
This is one of the booths I hit every year. I buy lots of his pendants, and by the time I get home, I have things put together. I buy the chain, as shown above, and attach the pendants, and then when I get home, they typically go to a local boutique for sale. I have some I'll put on my website late this week!
I have more to share from this booth, and from this day to finish off day one, but it'll have to wait until tomorrow. If you see something in my posts from this trip that you can't live without, send me a message on here, or email me at mojoy@att.net, and describe it to me, and we'll try to see what we can do!
See ya tomorrow.

I would be overwhelmed! Although I don't do jewelry so I wouldn't even know where to start. It's all beautiful.
