OH YES I DID!! I completed our Beach 2013 Vacation scrapbook before we even left the beach this year!! I had so many art supplies with me that it'd have been a travesty to wait a whole year like I did last year to get er done. Sooooo... with about 12 pieces of chipboard, including one for the front cover and one for the rear cover... I made this...
Any pages you see that are painted a coppery color are chipboard. All other pages are simply cardstock from your basic ol scrapbook supply store. aka, Hobby Lobby or Michael's.
I used ONLY a roll of gaffer tape to secure all the pages. I'd add a page at a time with the tape. When I got them all put together, I'd find another couple of photos (taken later in the week), which I wanted to include, so I'd just adhere them in with another strip of gaffer or bookbinding tape.
I think I just uploaded 125 photos for this blog so instead of "talking", I think I'll just bow on out and let you look!
It starts right here with this selfie portrait that the girls and I took when we stopped in Hattiesburg, MS, on the way down, all by ourselves. It was the beginning of our roadtrip and a wonderful vacation. I'll see ya at the end of the book. Enjoy!
And there you have it. Completed Beach book. Now understand that in years past, I would've totally stressed that this book does not contain any of our family photos (you know all dressed in white and khaki), but, I knew that we'd be doing that on our last day there, and finishing the book was my priority!
I can always tape one in or make a book with only those pics in it or add one to the back cover. More than likely, I'll just blow a couple up for canvases in the house and condo and call it a day.
I am about ready to teach a little scrapbooking class. How many would be interested if I did so. I need to order the supplies, and don't want to over buy! If you think you might want a little do along tutorial, let me know in the comments. OH... and for those of you who want jewelry, I am ON IT! Y'all can thank Nena Beth for buying ALL the silver cross earrings that I inboxed some of you about after your inquiry. But, I am making some more. so, just hang on...it's coming. I just need about 10 more hours every day!
Peace out, peeps. Have a great week!

I enjoyed before when you had the kits available on etsy and we could purchase and work along with you online. I don't see a trip to Louisiana in my near future and when I do - it will be a big one with the massey/groves/reborn clan and I am sure you could hook us up with a meet the robertsons date lol lol lol lol don't worry about me asking for this trip anytime soon - I am not a traveler lol
I just finished the Christmas book that you inspired me to do this evening. I did not have cooperative photo subjects that would allow a photo a day - but I hit the highlights. I can't scrap like you do - I tend to want to be too organized and I would love for you to explain some of the mixed media stuff you are using. I go buy some stuff and don't use it and end up with the same old froo froo look from before.
What a fun book! I think my favorite layout was the Gabbi Girl sunshine one!
Love this!
Beautiful! Great photos - the six "girls," the three girls, the two girls, Todd and MA, ...
Love that you included Staci's candy crush addiction!!!!

I'm not surprised that this scrapbook is awesome. It is definitely a labor of love that your girls will treasure for years to come.
I would totally love a do it along with tutorial!

I love it! You're awesome
Love it!!
If the class is on-line, count me in! I also want to know how to include the mixed media stuff in my books.
I'm in for an online tutorial Love the book Becky
Now that's what I call a HOTDOG w/ALLLLLL THE FIXINGS!!!! LOVE!! LOVE!! LOVE!!!!
Can't do a class right now, but maybe next time around I will. Thanks for the VISUAL CLASS though!!
Online or in person class? I'd definitely do an online class!
I loved the online tutorials you used to do, and definitely want to learn about the mixed media, and all the layering you do. I don't even need a kit, just a list of things to buy.
Your scrapbooks are always amazing, and I love reading about your beach trips...whether relatives or friends, everyone is family (just like your scrapbook said).
Cross earrings? How did I miss those? Where are the pictures? I might need some of those! ;-)
I love the book! I wish I lived closer...Michigan is a bit of a drive. Regardless, you inspire me to keep capturing the daily moments and memories...even the ones that don't seem like much...like Staci and her game. I enjoyed the kits you put together in the past and would love to do it again if you were so inclined.
I'll keep watching.
Love the Beach book and have added it to my inspiration folder. I really like when you do the tutorials. I have so many materials and items around my house just waiting to be used. I love the Mixed Media concept and you are such a master at using it in so many ways to incorporate it into your life and creations.
