I am so tired. But this too shall pass.

I'm gonna go on and tell you that I am quite tired tonight.  Keeping up with this BAH is one contributor to that.  Those little young uns of mine sling their things from one end of the house to the other.  I bet I pick up 92 rubber bands a day.  And oh, maybe 30 pieces of Barbie clothing, 45 marker tops (because God knows they are NOT on the markers!), and WHY can't we keep 2 shoes together in a pair?!
KK came over last weekend and helped get Gabbi's spring clothes pulled out of her closet, so we can get the fall stuff down from the top bar and prepare for our fall/ winter.  All of these clothes are hand me downs, and for the most part are 3Ts.  I have patients at my office who are the recipients.  Last time I did this, I just unloaded them and had them in Rubbermaid boxes in the waiting room... first come, first serve!

Oh, and aside from the house, tomorrow AM is our leadership meeting at MMPT, so basically, every Wednesday night, I have to prepare for that.  And then there are the CRAMPS that I was figuring out today, I've been suffering through every month for the past THIRTY years!  Imagine that!!  And if my menopause age is anything like my mama's.... I am only a little over half way with this.  So, I'm thinking ablation.  ??  Not anything radical, because I just don't want to go that route.  Anyone had an ablation, and how is the cramp situation now?!
and by the way, thanks to the SEVEN people who commented yesterday per my request (aka grovelling!)  I really appreciate it.  So, now I am off to beddy bye with my youngest kiddo, watching Pocahontas, with Tarzan between us and Lizzie Girl at my feet.  WHY do  all the animals want to sleep with me?  Daddy and Ellie are in the big bed. Noone can sleep in Gab's until we unload these clothes!!  Have a happy Thursday.

Hi Mo.....

I had the ablation at age 32 and felt great for a couple of years but ultimately ended up having a partial hysto done vaginally 3years later and that was a disaster!!! However, if the GYN hadn't stitched my ureter shut it would have been such an easy recovery..... And I've never felt so good. I'm sorry you have to go through the he!! Monthly..... I remember it well.

I've heard success stories on the ablations, and was going to go that route; however, I never got to that point, and ended up having to have a hysterectomy.

It's worth a try - it's not worth being so miserable each month.

Hugs...

Hi Mo,

I'm so glad you donate your clothes to others. What a generous soul.

My sister had an abalation. It helped for about a year, but now she is going the hysterectomy route. I hope you can get some relief! I personally had a hysterectomy at age 41 and do NOT regret it one bit. Best thing I ever did. Have a great day.

Mo.....I don't know how you do all you do.... I truly look up to you. At least you are human like the rest of us and get tired too!!! You do so much and that is one BAH to take care of and two busy little girls. Your little ones have such cute clothes and it is so nice that you share with others - I know they love it. Hoping you have a wonderful day. Melissa and I think of our fun experience with you and have our Halloween canvases on display for the season - love them!!!
Hugs!!!

I don't know how you even have time to think with all that you do.
Take time for you and rest even if it is 30 mins in a locked bathroom... :)

Dang, girl! That is some serious closet stuffings! Wish my girl was smaller than yours! I would be driving down to your office to grab the whole pile! LOL!

Have been procrastinating on the ablation route myself! Mainly $$ related, however. Have heard great things and am even more optimistic reading all these comments!

Good luck! xoxo

Girl.. you have no idea how badly i needed this blog post... seriously... my girls are older than yours... my house is a LAH and I needed this post to validate that i am not the only one around here who feels a little over whelmed with the picking up of stuff.. the ponytails that end up ALL over the house... the shoes in different rooms is hard to understand but it happens here too... mine are not of Barbie age anymore however i get it... imagine those little socks (or whatever you call them) that the kids wear with the Toms... those are the Barbie clothes in my house... i swear they are everywhere and the kids can never find them... as lastly... those creatures that give us that unconditional love.. .those dogs... we have 4...hubby and I have a FULL SIZE bed and kids sleep alone... how is that? Why is that?
thank you Melanie... i hope that you will have a great day... PS...I am one of the gals that met you from Eclectica... Scrapbooked for Jake... just in case you didnt know... Eclectica is closing... ;( Their last day is Saturday.

Mo, I remember how "My mom taught us a lesson as kids" when we left stuff lying around. She would get a clean garbage bag and throw all the stuff (shoes, dolls, clothes etc) we had lying around inside of it. She would then say, either you empty this bag within a couple hours or it goes in the trash!! After a few "lost things", we learned QUICKLY!!!

I don't go that drastic w/Bre BUT I do have her put her shoes away and teaching her to put her dirty clothes in the hamper. It's working really well...so far!! We even have a chart for her to complete her morning chores and its AMAZING how well it works. From waking up to straightening her bed in the morning. Do you know it shaved 15-20mins of hassling each morning!!! We are out the door and no more RACING to BEAT THE CLOCK in the morning!!! No more whining or crying, in fact she is excited to "erase her completed chores" off the dry erase board in the morning.

Now if I can just get her to STOP cutting cartwheels inside the house!!

PS Good luck on the ablation. Cramps are miserable!

I had one a little over a year ago. Love it! Also, I feel your pain over the rubber bands. I wonder who gave my boys each a rubber band gun with an extra pack of rubber bands?
