Not to mention her little barefeet and braids.
Then, I'd say, "Change pose". And then, "Change pose." She was so cooperative with her crazy mama's cues.
It's funny because Ellie's poses are very different than this little girl's!
But she was sure trying. Have I mentioned that Miss Prissy is back in therapy this summer? OT, PT, and Speech therapy.
We're working on her doing better with her body awareness and coordination.
And of course, some basic developmental milestones, like galloping, skipping, up and down stairs alternating her feet and without holding a rail or a hand.
She is also doing OT to address her inability to help with getting her shoes and socks off, her clothes on and off, and some basic grooming, like brushing her hair and teeth.
She has at least a whole year to work on these things before starting kindergarten. And maybe even two years, as she has a late birthday, so we may start school at almost 6 instead of almost 5.
But regardless of any of that, the child exudes JOY!
And I KNOW that will be the key to my baby girl going far in life! She is sunshine!
And she makes me happy when skies are gray!! Everybody needs a Gabbi Girl!

Yes, and we all have a Gabbi girl! Thanks to you for sharing her... It's pretty amazing to think of where your girls will be in a few more years. I love their different personalities and their hearts. Can't wait to see what they do next.
Indeed, your title sums it all up!

Her joy jumps off the photos. I can almost hear her laugh! Precious.
As the mother of 2 late birthday babies that started at the "regular" time, I regret it. So does the oldest one of the 2. He is 21 and still complains about it. LOL I tell him if it's the worst thing that ever happens in his life he'd better be thanking me, but he really does think it was the source of some of his struggles. Plus, he was the youngest in his class of 400+. The last to date, the last to drive, etc... He says the only thing it was "good" for is bragging rights that he graduated at 17.
Precious!
I love that smile! Go, sweet Gabbi, go!
precious!!!
precious!!!
I tried it both ways as far as late birthdays. In WI 20 years ago thecut off for K was Secember 1 (it's been changed for some time) but my first-born was a November baby and so I started her. We moved when she was entering the 2nd grade and will forever be grateful to her new teacher who came to me indicating that while so far she was keeping up academically she was falling behind in other areas and the teacher thought it was cuz of potential problems when she was older and not maturing as fast as the other kids. So since no one would know the difference we just moved her back to the 1st grade telling the kids she was put in the other classroom by mistake.
I held my fourth child who had an August bday from starting until she was 6+ and it was the best thing I ever did. She just graduated this pastJune with honors and I'm sending a 19 yr old daughter off to college instead of a 17 yr old!
I meant December 1 was the cutoff 20 years ago......
