There it is. The Circle of Love. I asked Paula today how many years we'd been doing this. She thought about 10. WOW!! That means, I've been doing this with the Fords since John was 9 years old. He is now 19. I know for sure I was doing it when Jake was sick and I took the older boys to get them away from the emotional roller coaster they were on with his cancer.
So that was about 2004. They were 9 and 10 years old. WOW. And now look at John, above.... he's, like, GROWN!!
We all look forward to it for months before we actually get to meet each other in south Alabama... on the Gulf.
This year, Miss MA went as a participant of the Circle instead of an employee of the Groves!
But how can she resist this precious angel?!
Of this one?!
Never fear... we have these two SUPER sitters!! KK and CoCo.
That doesn't keep them from wanting mama when they get salt water in their eyes or mouth!
And quite honestly, I am glad about that. I want them to still want me. There were several teenagers, so this one actually didn't feel she needed a sitter at all. After all, she IS four!!
DId you notice the shell jewelry? Everyone in the Circle got something today.
Because I am psycho like that and couldn't go to the beach without something to do. I am sure you knew that about me already!
So we found shells with tiny holes in them and I made necklaces, earrings, and ankle bracelets.
And the girls dug a hole. A HUGE hole! ANd dug it for 3 1/2 hours!
Little Gabbi dug her little heart out!
Hey, look! It's me and Paula.
And Linda Lou and CoCo and KK. Courtney is less than a year away from a nursing degree. And KK will be an engineer in about the same. Think they'll still make the trip with us for "spare change"!??
I am really, really glad my baby still wants me when she is sleepy!!
and there's a little something I think I have failed to mention.
They call my boobies, "Ninny pillows". Wonder why?! Well... they are "ninnies" and they are "pillows". So actually, that's a pretty good name for em, dontcha think?! If not... just look at this picture!
I had no control of the camera during that time. Mary Allison had snagged it!!
Oh, and lo and behold guess who rejoined our circle after about a three year hiatus! Sam!! Yay for Sam for coming back. We've missed you.
More this week from Fort Morgan, Alabama!!

Looks like everyone is having a GREAT time.....and I really love your "circle of love"...neat!! Huggers, BJ
You better be careful with some of those pictures of you! It looks like you don't have a stitch of clothing on. People are going to start talking about that circle of love! (Obviously I am just kidding. I just thought it was funny that you could not see your bathing suit in most of the pictures.
Everyone looks so happy!! Y'all have a good week!
Nice to see MA not as an employee.
Ok Mel, i just gotta know....who came up with the name "ninny pillows", i would figure it had to be you cause your just funny like that, LOL
Poor Bre never had NINNY PILLOWS hers were more like FLAT COTS!! LOL!!! Have fun you guys!! You have one AWESOME CIRCLE!!!
Looks like one big, happy family to me! I'm glad everyone got together for the beach trip.
Thanks for sharing all of the pics. It's so neat to see how much the kids (including the teens) grow from year to year. Kinda makes me feel like part of the family, too. :-)
