My husband is the only one in our house that likes grits. I was born and raised in Indiana. I never heard of grits until I moved to Florida. I'm not sure if you know Annisa Mahyew or not. Her youngest daughter had cancer, she is off treatment and doing awesome. Annisa had two massive strokes in November. She just came home from a rehad center!! She will be doing outpatient therapy for 40 days. The Mayhews are awesome people and I know they can use any advice. They used to live in Brandon FL but moved outside of Atlanta recently. Here is the family website: http://www.hope4peyton.org/
And not just "grits", but CHEESE GRITS!!! Those are my favorite. My son was not a fan of that rice cereal as a baby, but he loved, watered down grits. I love watching your girls making a mess with theirs!
If I was every forced to move up north, first of all I would freeze to death, but secondly I would have to have grits imported!! This southern girls must have her grits!!!!

Still never had grits! My kids won't even eat oatmeal for me so I am pretty sure I would get them to open up for grits either!

Does it taste like a thick oatmeal? We don't have that sort of thing in the Pacific Northwest!
