Gabbi is a happy gull.

Well, while we are looking at super cute pictures of my girls...

Let's just dote on Gabbi a litttttle bit more!

Talk about a gigantic bow!  And what kind of mama would make sure it is smack dab in the very front on her head?!  Like a big ol ornament?  I dunno!
We are still trying to learn to walk around these parts.  Since it just happens to be what I do for a living... she gets to practice every night and every morning!

I usually try to find the "just right" height stair/step/stool/humidor/or upside down bucket in this case.
For all you aspiring pediatric physical therapists out there, this is a bit of information gleaned from 16 years of experience.  Kids will rise and walk more readily from a short sitting (or 90 degrees at the hips/ 90 degrees at the knees) position than from you just plopping them down on their feet and expecting them to like it. Actually, the surface needs to be just a wee bit taller than fully 90 degrees.  And the destination MUST be elevated for motivation, or kiddo will go straight to her knees.  We use the brown ottoman!

Sooooo....every day we work from a short sitting position, to try and get Gabbi Girl to lean forward, like so...
and move her little self forward through space!  So far... just a dive at the ottoman in front of her.  No real steps to speak of.  She is kinda starting to walk facing forward when she is cruising down the couch, with one hand instead of always two!  And...
Oh my Lawdy... fan me.  That was CUTE!
Ok. Annndddd, she is starting to let you help her walk holding only one hand instead of two.  That is  progress!  Anddddd... as seen above, she is "patty caking, patty caking Baker's man".  Annnnddd, as seen below, she is "rolling em up" too!
Might I mention she can also , "Throw em in the pan!"
  I'm just sayin'!
Therapy has worked wonders for this baby child!  She is just really having so much more fun now.  It was never that she was gloomy or what not, but she is comfortable to move her body around and experience different toys with curiosity instead of anxiety!
Aww Man!  THAT was cute!

Please note the neat little pincer grasp of the cut up weenie.
And that food made it to her mouth under her own direction!  Not allll over her face! nor in her hair.
Ol' Gabbi Gull is doing mighty fine!  She is even hugging her sister and leaning in to give her sugar.  She waves byebye, points to her nose on command, signs "eat" and "milk" and holds those hands up really high when she wants mom to pick her up.
As Ellie would say, "Gabbi, I am so proud of you!"

We figured out the sitting position thing when Caitlyn finally started walking. She turned one of her toys upside down, sat on it, and voila, she was up and going. Only took 17 1/2months, but hey she's up on those two little feet and cruising like she's been doing it for months. Your girls are so so cute!! I love checking your page for all the different things you show, between pictures of your girls with very cute outfits to paintings to jewelry-I'm hooked! And I still acknowledge all of the 11's that appear in my life and I didn't even know Jake. I feel like I knew him through you. You're awesome!!

I just want to reach through the screen and pinch those cheeks! Please tell me that I get to see that cute face in person in Memphis for the race Either that or I will be ordering you to take her on a trip to Traina's bakery so that she can eat a brownie. My treat!!
